ESTEC is a biennial international conference bringing together key players in the solar thermal sector. It is the meeting place for sharing the latest information on market trends, political and regulatory developments as well as on innovations. In these uncertain economic times, ESTEC is the ideal forum to discuss recent developments in Europe and glimpse at the promising outlook for global growth.
Through contributions from market analysts and stakeholders coming from different backgrounds, the conference participants will exchange views on the challenges faced by the solar thermal industry, such as the cost reduction of solar thermal systems, co-operation with major construction groups or even further improvement in building energy performance.
In 2011, for the first time, a session will be wholly dedicated to installers who play such an important and pivotal role in the European solar thermal industry’s value chain. Besides this, a strong focus will be put on southern Europe and emerging markets in northern Africa and the Middle East.

The abstracts will be reviewed by the ESTEC 2011 Programme Committee, consisting of leading international experts in the field of solar thermal heating and cooling.
All accepted abstracts will be presented in plenary, parallel or poster sessions and published in the conference proceedings. The selected authors will be invited to give either an oral or a poster presentation at ESTEC 2011.
